Ryan Firpo is the man who provided the technical expertise for that project and he's back to do it again for what they're calling Boom: The Incredible True Story of Online Poker.
Where Robusto focuses on one player per episode, and just flirts with bigger-picture concepts, Boom is hoping to achieve more ambitious goals.
In a recent blog post on the subject Krantz says, "it’s going to be a film about the pursuit of true freedom through the highs and lows of professional gambling, and the rare opportunity awarded to a generation of poker players: the opportunity to actually achieve it."
With financial backing apparently coming from a group of high-stakes poker players and people within the poker industry this project might have a chance at a more mainstream audience.
It's tough to say exactly what route they'll take as far as subject matter but you have to assume they'll be painting a pretty shiny picture of online poker.
Considering the two prodcuers represent two of the biggest poker training sites it'll be interesting to find out.
