With the exchange rate of around 7 to 1 those blinds work out to about $7,000/$14,000 USD!
Things have been ramping up over the last few days from the relatively low stakes of $500/$1,000. Headlining the games, along with Ivey and Dwan, are Chau Giang, Jeff Lisandro, Ted Forrest, Sam Tricket and John Juanda.
To make things even better for the forum railers the best reports coming from this game are being shipped by a hot asian girl named Stella Yeh!
The most interesting hand she's told us about played out between Chau Giang and an anomymous Chinese businessman. They were playing 10K/20K HKD No-Limit Hold'em at the time, with a 40K straddle on the table.
Businessman made it 100K and Giang three-bet to half a million and Businessman flats. The flop comes J-J-T and Chau check-calls 1.2 million. The turn is an ace and Chau checks. Businessman shoves for 9 million HKD!!
Giang snap-calls and turns over pocket aces for top boat. Businessman turns over A-J for the worse full house. He doesn't hit quads on the river and Chau rakes around 21 million HKD. That's like $3 million USD!
If that's the kind of action that was going down at 10K/20K it's going to get seriously messed up at 50K/100K!
We also heard about a pretty sick bad beat taken by durrrr. All-in on turn with board of A-A-X-3. Dwan has A-3, Ivey A-K. King on the river for a pot of like $1.3 million!
That forum thread has been partially derailed by pictures taken from Stella's FB page but there's still plenty of usable info coming in. If you'd prefer to let us do the forum filtering just keep an eye on the PL blog for highlights.
