Eventually the discussion turned to the odds of hitting your three card prop on the flop all in your suit, with Dwan doing the numbers in his head and the rest of the table suddenly willing to bet if he had done the math correctly.
That's when Oppenheim chimed in with a pretty funny tale about a poker game he'd once played at in Los Angeles.
Apparently the table was full of eight men, but one player agreed to take his clothes off and play naked for a lousy $500.
"The story wouldn't even be that interesting except that man is sitting at the table here tonight," Oppenheim laughed.
"That's nothing," added Benyamine. "There are games where guys will pay the rest of the table $500 for the chance to take their clothes off. It just depends which side of town you're on."
The poker game continued with Smith having to rebuy after going broke shoving into Antonius and the nuts on one hand.
The discussion turned to absinthe, liquid heroin and the strongest drink Dwan has ever had - 151 Proof Rum for those of you keeping score at home.
Plus there was even some mention of Oppenheim working a brief stint as gigilo - although he would not confirm that or the identity of the player who will get naked for $500.
Soon after, a chuckling Antonius took the opportunity to needle Matusow a little, reminding him of the time he lost $2 million in a day playing Pot-Limit Omaha online against he and Gus Hansen.
"It sure is their thing, and it sure ain't mine," bemoaned Matusow.
Before long, Smith went broke again and decided not to rebuy, just as Phil Ivey and the Malaysian businessmen walked back in the room.
Ivey quickly locked up Smith's seat, but the Malaysians were only on dinner break from the main event downstairs and despite a little pleading from Dwan, decided to sit this one out.
Ivey seemed less than interested in trading chips and stories with group, playing just a few hands before disappearing and soon the game appeared to break.
They returned about half an hour later with just Antonius, Dwan, Benyamine and Oppenheim playing four handed, but a few texts and phone calls later and the table was once again full, with Feldman returning and Chris Ferguson, Sam Trickett, and James Bord joining in.
They played on into the night with more prop discussions and Oppenheim making quads against Antonius to drag a $370k pot.
He looks to be the big winner right now, and definitely told the funniest story of the night, but with the Crown telling the players they will keep dealing until they're asked to stop, it could be a long night in Melbourne and anything can and will happen.
