You can’t walk two feet at the $300,000 Super High Roller Bowl without running into at least one of those items.
The cash and chips are kind of a given but the sheer amount of massive beards is somewhat surprising for a collection of poker players who have collectively won tens of millions of dollars.
Two of the biggest names in the game — Daniel Negreanu and Jason Mercier — have beards that would be more fitting in a lumberjack camp than a five-star casino.
They aren’t the only ones as Dominik Nitsche, Stephen Chidwick, Phil Galfond and David Peters are also among the pros rocking at least a bit of facial hair. Extra points to Igor Kurganov for the man bun.
